In the past week I updated PlanetAston a bit.

  • Added the about page so now visitors who are wondering about who is writing posts on PlanetAston can be introduced to post authors and have a peek at PlanetAston’s Flickr photo stream. Also that is a bonus for PlanetAston’s contributors so if you wish to join Haxer and me I promise you place on the about page where you can tell a little about yourself and post a link to your website and such. Plus you would be able to upload your photos to our Flickr photo stream…..nothing much, pretty modest but contact me or Haxer if you are interested in joining us since the positions won’t be open forever in fact I was thinking of one or maybe two more people and that is it. (Like as if you will be sorry later :) ). more…

Sunburst backgrounds became very popular across the web (and off the web just as well). Cannot tell if it is due to its hypnotic effect or something else but I like them and many people find them neat and very posh. Since we cannot argue and sunburst will be fashionable for quite some time in the near future let me show you how easy it it is to make one.

I believe the same principle can be applied with other main stream applications but I will show you how to do it using Adobe Illustrator.

    Aston + Windows 7

    Aston + Windows 7

This is my first article on Planet Aston and I figured I’d go big with my experience with the Windows 7 Beta. I downloaded my copy the other day and installed it. Upon messing around with the interface and liking some of the features I thought to myself, “How could this be better?” It was at that point that I decided to install Aston Shell 1.9.6. The good news is that Aston installed without a hitch and is running perfectly and as usual it makes the windows experience better.
What does this mean for you? Well hopefully it will mean that the transition from Vista (95, 98, 2000, XP or whatever) will be as smooth as possible. I can’t speak for Gladiators Software and say Aston will be 100% problem free loaded on Windows 7, but for now it seems like it will do just fine.
I have yet to try out Aston 2 Menu and Panels, but when I get around to that I will post an update either here or on my website. (That’s up to Krstatzar)

    ‘Till next time
